DELLOK Carbon Steel G Type finned Tube
About Us
DELLOK (YONGHUI RADIATING PIPE MANUFACTURING CO.,LTD.) was established in 2002, which is located in Jiangsu, China. After many years of development, the company now has 66 million yuan in fixed assets, more than 200 employees, and 33 technical staffs. We have 4 aluminum processing production lines, with the annual processing capacity of more than 20,000 tons; And we have 5 tube-drawing production lines; 47 fintube production lines, 1 imported production line from American with the brand of McElroy , with the annual production capacity of 12 million meters the above. Quality is the theme of eternal pursuit of winner -Production workshop- Meticulous works, standardized management system and systematic quality assurance are Dellok(YONGHUI)'s best commitment to quality. In Dellok(YONGHUI), the quality control is not only the detection of the final process, but throughout the entire production process. We implement a set of quality control and assurance systems. Each batch of pipes is sampled and tested, and records are kept as a quality guarantee for the final product.
Product Description
Embedded Fin tubes or names as G type Finned tube
The Embedded Fin tubes main design involves the fin inserted and welded into a helical groove cut into the tubes. They can be used in higher temperatures, and are very durable. Embedded fins are best suited for the usages that involve high thermal cycling or high temperatures and where the fin side will be subjected to regular cleaning.
Common Applications: Air Cooled Heat Exchangers, Steam Coils, Air Preheaters.
Max. Working Temperature: 400 °C
G Finned Tube Manufacturing Process
Fin strip is rolled in a uniform taper, helically wound into a plowed groove into the tube wall
and simultaneously backfilled (by flat rotating discs) on both sides to lock the fin to the tube.
No tube material is removed. This gives an excellent bond with high pull out loads.
Fin Material: Aluminium/Copper/Carbon Steel.
Core Tube Material: Carbon Steel/ Carbon Alloy Steel/Stainless Steel/ Nickel Alloys/Copper/Copper Alloys.
G Finned Tube Advantages
High fin stability, excellent heat transfer, high operating temperature.
The fin/tube wall contact is constant because of the setting and makes it possible to use a wall temperature of up to 450°C.
The fin is set throughout its length and consequently does not unwind even when partially uprooted.
This kind of finned tube is one of optimum choices for having good effectiveness/cost ratio.
G Finned Tube Properties
Maximum working temperature: 400 deg C.
Atmospheric corrosion resistance: Poor
Mechanical resistance: Acceptable
Fin materials: Aluminium, Copper, Carbon steel
Tube materials: Any theoretical limit
G Finned Tube(Copper Finned Pipe) Applications

FAQ
1. What is a fin tube?
Finned tubes are the main components of heat exchangers. They are a series of tubes where fins have been added on the outside to increase the contact area with the outside fluid, to exchange heat and between the fluid inside the tube and the fluid outside the tube.
2. Where are Fine Tubes products used?
Our main markets include the aerospace, oil and gas, nuclear, power generation, chemical process and medical device industries. However we are also developing products for emerging sectors like desalination, geothermal energy, sports and the automotive industry. We are continually innovating, so if you require tubing for other applications please get in touch and we’ll be happy to discuss your requirements.
3. What is 'G' Fin Tube or Embedded Fin Tube?
As the name suggests, the embedded fin tube or G fin tube is an extended surface fin tube where the fins are externally applied on the base tubes. A groove is formed continuously on the base tube and the fin edge is inserted in the groove. After the fin is inserted in the groove a set of rollers is used to back fill the groove and the fin is then securely embedded in the base tube.
The strength of the Embedding or more commonly known as Fin to Tube bond test is checked by hanging a 3 Kg free wight to an Isolated fin. This ensures whether the fin has been Embedded into the base tube properly.
