Protection of Ends

Both bare ends of Knurled Footed Fin Tubes shall be Zinc or Aluminum metalized applied by an electro spray arc system coating.

Application of SA214 ERW Tubes: For high, middle, low pressure boiler and pressure purpose

Surface treatment: Oil-dip, Varnish, Passivation, Phosphating, Shot Blasting

Introduction:

The fin strip (normally aluminum and copper) is folded into an L SHAPE and wound onto the base tube surface under tension. The feet of the fins are joined together and cover the finned surface. The accessories with this fin are Tube Support Box, Clamp or Spacer Box (Material: Aluminum, Zinc and Stainless Steel). Packing:

Both bare ends shall be Zinc or Aluminum metalized applied by an electro spray arc system coating. The desiccants are put into each package for continental transportation as well.

API Standard 661(Air-Cooled Heat Exchangers for General Refinery Service) or the delivery conditions (TDC).

This method of manufacturing KL Footed Type enables us to place the finning on a very thin-walled tube with is particularly desirable when using high value alloys (titanium, stainless, copper, nickel).The tube can withstand a temperature of up to 150°C without the risk of atmospheric corrosion or thermal stress.

4. KL TYPE fin tubes: the knurling process is strengthened the adhesion and reduce the tendency for fin loosening; and it is preferred when used in slightly more aggressive conditions. Maximum operating temperature: 250°C.

5. After wrapped the fin strip, the fin foot is also knurled on the base tube to increase the bonding between tube and fin. For this reason, KL type of fin construction ensures better heat transfer characteristics than in the case of type L and LL.
