About Us

Dellok(YONGHUI Radiating Pipe Manufacturing Co.,Ltd) was established in 2002, which is located in Nanjing, China. We joined HARBIN AIR CONDITIONING CO., LTD. in 2022 and became the most professional industry manufacturer in China. After many years of development, the company now has 66 million yuan in fixed assets, more than 200 employees, and 33 technical staffs. We have 4 aluminum processing production lines, with the annual processing capacity of more than 20,000 tons; And we have 5 tube-drawing production lines; 47 fintube production lines, 1 imported production line from American with the brand of McElroy , with the annual production capacity of 12 million meters the above.

Quality is the theme of eternal pursuit of winner.

Longitudinal Finned Tube

Like welded spiral finned tubes, this welded configuration can be used for practically any heat transfer application. The choice of longitudinal Fin Tube versus helical finned tube seems to be governed mainly by geometric considerations. For example, some heater configurations consist of finned tubes inserted inside other tubes — longitudinal finned tubes are the obvious choice for such applications. In other cases, users prefer Longitudinal Fin Tube for installations where the tube will be oriented in a vertical direction — the fin orientation facilitates fluid drainage on the fin side of the tube. The longitudinal fin configuration is most commonly used in shell and tube type applications such as in double-pipe and multi-pipe heat exchangers where the longitudinal fin tube is telescoped inside the bore of a larger tube shell. Heat is transferred between the fluid passing through the bore of the fin tube and the fluid passing through the bore of the shell. Fluids passing through the bore of the shell are forced between the longitudinal fins. In this case, a helical fin would block the flow of the fluid, rather than allowing the fluid to run between the fins.

FABRICATION PROCESS

Longitudinal Finned Tubes are produced by resistance welding fins in the longitudinal direction along the length of the tube(Welded Steel Pipe). The fin strip is first formed into a U-shaped channel, such that each leg of the U will form a fin. The channels are cut to the appropriate length and then oriented along the length of the tube(Brown Fin Tube) and resistance welded in place. The channels are welded in pairs, diametrically opposed- therefore the number of fins specified must always be a multiple of four.

For a given pipe(Carbon Steel Welded Pipe) or tube size, the desired heat transfer surface area per unit length of tube can be obtained by specifying the appropriate fin height and number of fins. The maximum number of fins is dependent upon the tube outside diameter — larger OD tube can accommodate a greater number of fins.

Surface Treatment and Protection

Each tube except stainless material will be polished by polishing machine to near white condition before welding. After welding, the finned tubes will be coated for transportation and site storage purpose, normally the coat will provide a period of 3 months prevention, any other coating material for longer prevention is also available as per clients, requirements.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) About Longitudinal Finned Tubes:

1. What Are Finned Tubes Uses?

Finned tubes are particularly useful in the case of air heat exchangers. In an air heat exchanger, the heat transfer is to take place between a liquid and gas. With the heat coefficient of the air side being lower, a finned tube can be exceptionally helpful. A finned tube increases the surface area and thus helps in faster heat transfer between the components.

2. How is fin height calculated?

Length of fin calculator uses Fin length = (Perimeter-(2*Height))/((4*Number of fins)) to calculate the Fin length, The Length of fin formula is defined as the length of the fins required for the effective heat transfer.

3. What is a longitudinal finned Tube?

Longitudinal Finned Tube also called Brown Fintube , which produces by high frequency resistance welding fins in the longitudinal direction with the length of the tubes.

4. What are properties of longitudinal finned tubes?

Improve heat transfer efficiency in efficient space.

Reduces installation space on required heat transfer surfaces.

Reduce the cost of the equipment, and have a high operational reliability.

The pressure drop on the side of the tube is reduced and the operation cost is reduced.

The stiffness of steel tube is improved, and the seismic performance of steel tube is improved.

Enhance heat transfer, reduce flow resistance and metal consumption.

5. What are applications of longitudinal finned tubes?

We supply longitudinal finned tubes for:

double pipe heat exchangers

multi-tube heat exchangers

fire rated heaters

gas coolers

tank heaters

And we are able to accommodate the requirements of various industries, including oil, power, chemical, and petrochemical.

6. How do you control your quality?

We always put quality as the most important thing for customers, and we control the quality from raw material inspection, production checking to water pressure test and strength test. Also the third party can be authorized to check.
